R. ribes L., Sp. PI. 372 (1753). Ic: Bot. Mag. 124: t. 7591 (1898). Stems leafy below, leafless above, up to 40 cm, bearing reddish powdery scales, grooved. Leaves 2(-5), reniform, petiolate, denticulate, bullate. Pedicels jointed at or below the middle. Perianth segments persistent in fruit. Fruit reddish brown, triquetrous, very broadly winged, 9-15 mm. Fl. 6. Rocky slopes, 2300-2700 m. Described from Iran, the Lebanon & Mt. Carmel (sic). A9 Kars: S of Kağizman (Grossheim 3: map 58).
