Stem 15-5O(-7O) cm, finely ribbed, almost glabrous or papillose-scabrid. Leaves 4-6, linear, flat, 2-5 mm broad, glabrous or scabrid on margin, glaucous. Spathe 2(-4)-valved, persistent; valves c. 13 mm, shortly acuminate. Umbel hemispherical or more often spherical, 3-4.5 cm diam., many-flowered, rather lax, brittle. Pedicels (1-)1.5-2.5 cm, thin, equal, drying blackish. Perianth broadly campanultte; segments bright yellow with green midvein, drying whitish, elliptic, 4-5(-6) mm, obtuse. Stamens as long as perianth or somewhat shorter; inner filaments twice as broad as outer. Capsule depressed-globose, c. 5 mm, brown, shorter than persistent perianth. Fl. 6.
