T. eriocalyx (Ronniger) Jalas in Rech. fil., Fl. Iranica 150:542 (1982). Syn: T,__ kotschyanus Boiss. & Hohen. var. eriocalyx Ronniger apud Náb. in Publ. Fac. Sci. Univ. Masaryk Brno 70:42 (1926). Like T. kotschyanus Boiss. & Hohen. [7:368] but paler green to subglaucous; flowering stems slender; cauline leaves 3-5 pairs, becoming larger towards the capitate inflorescence, leaves of second pair below inflorescence c. 12 x 5 mm incl. c. 1 .5 mm petiole, usually sparsely hairy above, oil dots pale yellow, rarely reddish; lateral veins 2-3 pairs, evanescent towards margin; bracteoles 1.5 mm or longer, mainly longer than pedicels, linear, long-ciliate; calyx 4-5 mm, greenish, usually with long patent indumentum, tube subcylindrical, upper lip equalling lower teeth, rectangular-ovate, upper teeth usually 1.2-1.5 mm, long-ciliate; corolla pale pinkish, c. 6 mm.
