Differing from A. glycyphyllos in having erect stems, leaflets 30-70 mm, acute, calyx always black-hairy, and legumes 15-25 mm, more or less straight, pendulous. Fl. 6-7. Ir.-Tur. element. A. fraxinifolius is said to differ from A. glycyphyllos in having united stipules. None of the specimens examined showed this character. A specimen from C6 Maraş: Ahir Da., 2000-2230 m, Haradj. 1682, referred to A. fraxinifolius (Rech., 1959), probably belongs to A. glycyphyllos. Sect. Galegiformis Gontsch. Caulescent herbaceous perennials. Leaves impari-pinnate; leaflets simple-hairy; stipules free from one another and from the petioles. Inflorescence a pedunculate raceme. Flowers ebracteolate. Calyx not inflated, black simple-hairy. Legume exserted from the calyx, long-stipitate, bilocular, 4-6-seeded. - Monotypic. |
