| A. adunciformis Boiss., Diagn. ser. 1(2): 42 (1843). Erect, caulescent, perennial herb, 20-25 cm, with a branched woody caudex; stems c. 4 cm. Leaves 5-7 cm; leaflets 4-10 mm, linear-elliptic, bifurcate-villous, 9-11-paired; stipules 2-5 mm, triangular-lanceolate, joined at the base. Peduncles 6-9 cm. Inflorescence 2-2.5 xc. 2 cm, a dense , globose to oblong, 6-12-flowered spike, only elongating slightly in fruit. Bracts 2-5 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 7-8 mm, tubular, white simple-villous, with a few adpressed black bifurcate hairs; teeth 1.5-2 mm, linear-lanceolate. Corolla colour unknown; standard 15-18 mm, glabrous. Legume 6-7 x 2 mm, oblong, terete, white simple-pilose, erecto-patent or spreading; beak 2-3 mm, curved. Type: [Turkey] Asia Minor, 1827, Aucher 1352 (holo. G! iso. BM! K! W!). Endemic. Only known from the type. Closely resembling A. asciocalyx but distinguished by the calyx, which is not inflated. |
